FAQ
Before a site is handed over, the same questions come up in every conversation. The answers below are the ones we give.
They are short on purpose; the pages linked from the docs index go deeper.
- Do we need to learn a page builder?
- No. There is no page builder. You paste text, upload photos and press Generate. The composer decides where a heading, a list or a photo goes, within the design the developer fixed in code. If you want something changed, you say so in a sentence.
- Can we break the design?
- No. The editor lets you change words and pictures inside blocks whose types are fixed. Nothing in the interface offers a font, a colour, a column or a widget. Three years from now the hundredth page will sit in the same design as the first.
- What if we make a mistake?
- Every save is a revision and any revision can be restored. Unpublishing takes a page off the site without deleting anything. Archiving removes it from the site and keeps its history for support to restore.
- Does the AI make things up?
- The composer is told that every fact comes from the material you pasted. A date, a number or a quote it cannot find in your text is flagged after every turn, and missing details appear as visible placeholders to fill in before publishing. The person publishing reads the real page first.
- Which languages does it handle?
- Any list of locales the developer configures. Titles and standfirsts are written in every locale by the composer. The body stays in the language you pasted; it is typeset, not machine-translated.
- What does it cost to run?
- A page from first paste to published is usually well under one US dollar of model usage, and a revision turn costs a few cents. The public question box is capped per visitor and per day, in count and in dollars. The admin usage page shows the figures.
- Can visitors ask the site questions?
- Yes, when the developer enables it. The Ask the site box answers from published content only and cites the blocks it used. When a day's limit is reached it says so in the visitor's language, and keyword search keeps working.
- Who do we call for what?
- You add, edit, publish and unpublish pages, change wording and photos, rename addresses and restore versions. The developer adds page families, changes the design, handles domains, keys and servers, and raises the question-box limits if real visitors reach them.
